Hate getting to the terminal on time, only to find out the ferry just filled up? Quickly find out how busy BC Ferries is today, and whether or not you'll make the sailing you want. This app collects usage data from BC Ferries, forecasting how fast sailings are filling up. It will even tell you when you need to leave where you are in order to beat the crowd and make the boat without waiting at the terminal for longer than necessary. This application has a trial mode that will let you use all of the features of the application for one week. V1.0 was released on October 28th, 2010. V1.1 was released on January 10th, 2011. Many thanks to all who commented with issues, suggestions, and critiques. The following changes are in this release: •Problems with current conditions for the Southern Gulf Islands and Bowen Island routes was resolved. •Schedule interpretation was improved for all routes. •Load performance of all pages was improved. •Settings page was redesigned to include a link to a support page and a link to send a feedback email.
•Links to weather and BC Ferries' websites now use built-in IE launcher, instead of a hosted IE window. •Added sexy tilt effect to the interactive buttons (courtesy Peter Torr). •Added terminal information and schedules for Comox-Powell River (no current condition information is available) V1.2 was released on April 7th, 2011. It incorporates the following (minor) changes: •Some Panorama screens replaced with Pivots to reduce memory demands and improve performance •Data retrieval improved to be more flexible - fixes Victoria to Tsawwassen schedule I intend the next version to include Live Tile support!
